Paula Warford

A mother of six, Paula graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Pre-Professional Studies and Spanish. She moved to New York City and worked as an analyst with Accenture before moving on as a research analyst with The Wallace Foundation.

Rachel Tessalone
co-founder
A native of Bismarck, ND, Rachel graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Finance before fulfilling her dream of moving to New York City to pursue a career in fashion, where she worked in corporate retail.

Rachael Sandven
Studio manager
Rachael was born and raised in western Minnesota and has stayed in her home state all her life! She attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, where she received a B.A. in Business Management.

Kristen Steensland
Content developer, Master trainer
After growing up in Northern California, Kristen moved to Minnesota as a teenager and has lived there ever since. She attended Saint Mary’s University, where she played varsity soccer and graduated with a B.A. in Public Relations. After working in sales for four years, she took time off to have a family—a role that has been her full-time position ever since.

Mary Cummins
Master Trainer
Born and raised in Minnesota, Mary has stayed close to her Midwestern roots. She attended the University of Notre Dame, earning a degree in Classics (Ancient Greek and Latin) and Pre-Professional Studies. While in college, she explored a wide variety of fitness classes and eventually settled on a beginning ballet class as the ultimate stress reliever and bucket list activity...

Emily Cummins
Marketing Manager
Born and raised in Minnesota, Emily stayed close to her Midwestern roots and attended the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!). She was first introduced to the barre by her sister, Mary, while home for fall break during her freshman year. While she was always incredibly sore the day after class, she kept coming back for more every time she was home...

Anna Abbott
Born and raised in Minnesota, Anna graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a BA in Business Management and spent a decade in marketing and product management before choosing to stay home with her girls.
She discovered barre three years ago, and it quickly became more than a workout—it became her passion. After years of running without ever feeling truly strong or defined, Anna was amazed at how quickly barre transformed her strength and energy.
Outside the studio, Anna loves spending time with her husband and three daughters, golfing, being outdoors, and heading up North with family. In class, you’ll find her bringing extra energy to every arm series and igniting the shakes during every thigh series! The studio is a happy place for Anna and she can’t wait to welcome others into the community!

Bridget Taylor
Bridget is originally from Minnesota and spent most of her life here before joining the Marine Corps, which gave her the opportunity to travel across the country and around the globe. After serving 21 years on active duty, she retired as a Gunnery Sergeant and decided there was no better place to raise her family than Minnesota.

Erin Hammer
A lifelong Minnesota native, Erin earned her bachelor’s degree in Community Health and Biology from St.Cloud State University, followed by a master’s in Healthcare Administration from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

Hannah Wegner
Hannah is so excited to be joining the barre staff! She began attending classes in 2023 and instantly fell in love with barre, you may have seen her working reception at the front desk over the summer!

Hannah Wehman
Born and raised in Minnesota, Hannah graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in International Studies and French.
She fell in love with fitness after taking her first Barre class and was instantly drawn to the positive community atmosphere. Since then, she’s become a marathon runner and is passionate about helping others find joy in movement.

Jenny Wocken
Jenny moved to Minnesota from Wisconsin to attend the University of Minnesota. While pursuing a degree in public health, communication studies, and applied business, she also completed a group fitness instructor certification program. Having been an athlete her whole life, primarily through figure skating, Jenny was on the lookout for her next commitment to staying active and healthy.

Kadee Watkins
Born and raised in Minnesota, Kadee obtained her first degree at the University of Minnesota, where she was a hockey cheerleader (go Gophers!). She earned her second degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the UW-La Crosse – Gundersen – Mayo Physician Assistant Program. She then went on to obtain her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies with a specialization in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Kalli Taylor
A Midwestern girl at heart, Kalli never strayed too far from her Minnesota roots. After earning a B.A. in biology and playing soccer for Luther College, Kalli smoothly transitioned into four more years of pharmacy school at the University of Iowa. An avid athlete her entire life, Kalli was eager to discover a new activity that would both challenge and complement her busy lifestyle.

Lindsey Sullivan
Lindsey has called Minnesota home her entire life. Growing up in Littlefork, a small town near the Canadian border, she later attended Bemidji State University. During her time at Bemidji, Lindsey was a pitcher for the Beavers while earning her degree in Elementary Education. After teaching on the Iron Range and completing her master’s degree, she moved to the Twin Cities, where she has taught 5th grade in the Wayzata School District ever since.

Marlene Straszewski
Although Marlene has lived in various states and countries, she considers Minnesota her home. Born and raised in central Minnesota, she was involved in gymnastics and track, and has continued her passion for staying active and exercising throughout her adult life.

Mindy Budzius
Mindy was first introduced to The Barre through a fundraising event shortly after becoming a stay-at-home mom—and she’s been hooked ever since! After nine years of pulsing, tucking, and falling in love with the community, she decided it was time to take the leap and become an instructor herself.

Monica Diedrich
Monica is Minnesota grown and a proud Kansas Jayhawk. Upon moving back to Minnesota after college, she dabbled in various high intensity workouts and realized low intensity workouts were what her body responded the best to.

Nicholle Parrish
As a lifelong classical ballet dancer and former Minnesota Vikings cheerleader, it was easy for Nicholle to fall in love with The Barre’s workouts. The classes appeal to both her dancer and athletic sides—combining them into one top-notch workout! Fitness and health have always been priorities for Nicholle, and she is thrilled to now add "barre instructor" to her résumé.

Stacy Sapletal
Stacy first fell in love with The Barre when she walked through our doors on opening day. Immediately, she knew she had found a workout like no other! After a few months of classes and a newfound passion, she decided to share her love for barre by accepting a spot in our first training class.

Steph Ebert
A proud mom of three, Steph holds a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Minnesota. She spent 10 years teaching high school and later served as the Career and Technical Education Coordinator for Wayzata Schools—her alma mater.
